What is Amber Wine
It is white grapes made like red: the juice ferments together with the skins and seeds. This creates an amber color, light tannins, and a deep flavor profile—completely different from ordinary white wine. In our current menu, you will find vibrant selections such as Krakhuna Amber, Kisi Amber, and the full-bodied Rkatsiteli Qvevri.
The Qvevri Connection
Classic amber wine is aged in qvevri—large clay vessels buried underground. This tradition is thousands of years old and is listed on the UNESCO heritage list. It gives the wine a unique texture and minerality that pair perfectly with our dishes, such as the winery cheese platter or duck breast with tkemali demi-glace.
How to Drink It
- Served slightly warmer than regular white wine.
