Wine tasting is the best way to understand Georgian wine in a single evening. Here is how it works at LEVEL wine bar in Batumi.

How the tasting works

• A flight of several wines — usually 4 to 6 samples: from mineral whites like Tsolikouri or qvevri amber wines to full-bodied Saperavi.
• The story behind each wine — grape variety, region, production method, and the winemaker’s philosophy. This helps you truly appreciate the taste.
• Food pairing — artisan cheese platters, Saperavi beef tartare, or nadugi spheres with adjika perfectly complement and enhance the drink. Check out our menu here.
• No snobbery — our goal is not to “guess” notes in the glass, but to help you find your favorite wine.

Tastings, lectures, and events at LEVEL

We regularly host tastings and wine lectures, introducing guests to rare grape varieties, pet-nats like Titska, and tart ambers such as Krakhuna or Kisi. In one evening, you will try far more than you would in a week of ordering standard glasses by the bar.

And in summer — wine and sea sunsets

During the warm season (from May to October), events move to our second venue — LEVEL Beach bar on the New Boulevard. Here, the wine list is complemented by signature cocktails like the Amber Spritz, hookahs, DJ sets, and live band performances right by the sea.
